Wall in Love Pty Ltd (ABN/ACN as registered) (“Wall in Love,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy describes how we collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information, and how you can access or correct it or make a complaint. This policy applies to all personal information collected through our website at wallinlove.com.au and through direct communications with us.
2. Kinds of Information We Collect
We may collect and hold the following kinds of personal information (APP 1.4(a)):
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company name, and physical address, submitted through our project enquiry, contact, and registration forms.
- Project information: room photographs, wall measurements, design preferences, project specifications, and communications submitted through our project dashboard.
- Design preferences: designs saved to your My Project list, stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you submit a project enquiry.
- Transaction information: quotation details, order history, and payment records associated with your projects.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, pages visited, and interaction data collected through standard web analytics.
- Communication records: emails, phone call notes, and other correspondence with our team.
We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act 1988) unless required by law or with your express consent.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect personal information (APP 1.4(b)):
- Directly from you: when you submit a project enquiry, request samples, register for a trade account, contact us by email or phone, or subscribe to our newsletter.
- Automatically: through cookies and analytics tools when you visit our website (see Section 7 below).
- From third parties: we may receive information from our Italian manufacturing partners in connection with order fulfilment, or from referral sources where you have been introduced to us by a third party such as an interior designer or architect.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes (APP 1.4(c)):
- responding to project enquiries, sample requests, and contact form submissions;
- preparing customised wallpaper proposals and quotations;
- processing and fulfilling your orders;
- communicating with you about your projects, orders, and deliveries;
- improving our website, products, and services;
- communicating about products, collections, and services relevant to your expressed interests (with your consent, and subject to the Spam Act 2003 (Cth));
- complying with our legal obligations, including record-keeping, tax, and regulatory requirements;
- fraud prevention and protecting the security of our website and systems; and
- any other purpose directly related to the above or that you would reasonably expect.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may disclose your personal information to:
- our Italian manufacturing partners as necessary for order fulfilment and production (see Section 6 below);
- service providers who assist us with website hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing, under contractual obligations to protect your information;
- professional advisers (accountants, lawyers) as necessary for business operations; and
- government authorities or law enforcement where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. Cross-Border Disclosure
When you submit a project enquiry or place an order, your project specifications, contact details, and related information may be disclosed to our manufacturing partners in Italy (our Italian manufacturing partners) for the purpose of order fulfilment and production (APP 8).
Italy is a member of the European Union and is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which provides a comparable level of personal information protection.
Before disclosing your personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient handles your information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP 8.1). We maintain contractual arrangements with our manufacturing partners that include data protection obligations.
7. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies to enable core website functionality (such as session management and the project dashboard). We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with our site.
Analytics data is collected in anonymised or aggregated form and does not identify individual users. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect website functionality.
We do not use cookies to serve targeted advertising or to track users across third-party websites.
8. Data Storage & Security
Project enquiry data and account information are stored securely on servers hosted in Australia. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, modification, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and access controls.
Design preferences saved to My Project are stored locally in your browser using localStorage and are not transmitted to our servers unless you submit a project enquiry. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
9. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to (APP 1.4(d)):
- Access the personal information we hold about you (APP 12). We will respond to access requests within 30 days.
- Correct any personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading (APP 13).
- Request deletion of your personal information where it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records.
- Opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly.

10. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or handled your personal information inappropriately, you may lodge a complaint with us (APP 1.4(e)):
- Step 1: Contact us at sales@wallinlove.com.au with details of your complaint. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and respond within 30 days.
- Step 2: If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):

11. Data Breach Notification
In accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme (Part IIIC, Privacy Act 1988), if we become aware of an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose personal information is involved, we will notify the affected individuals and the OAIC as soon as practicable in accordance with our obligations under sections 26WA–26WR of the Privacy Act 1988.

This privacy policy is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner has jurisdiction over privacy complaints regardless of any governing law provision in these terms.
